I first met Mandy Crawford in late 2010 when I went to have Lymphatic drainage massage after having surgery for cancer. During that time I was also experiencing pain and numbness in both my legs and feet, she greatly helped to ease these symptoms. MRI showed I had two collapsed discs and a spinal stenosis. Both very serious back problems. The few months before my surgery I was finding it more and more difficult to walk for long distances, so the relief Mandy gave me was amazing. Mandy's involvement in physical therapy spans years. Originally qualifying with a Bachelor of Neuromuscular Therapy and Diplomas in Therapeutic & Sports Massage; Mandy’s clients have included the NZ Warriors, the English & Argentinean teams at Rugby World Cup 2011 & 2017 World Masters Games.
Her passion for continuing education straddles both sides of the equation. She continued to complete her Masters of Osteopathy after a further five years study, while dividing her time between our busy practice and teaching massage at AUT. These days, Mandy continues to teach massage therapy, while working as Vital Body's own in-house Osteopath.
It's fair to say that there are very few, similarly qualified professionals around - with Mandy you are truly in expert hands. Part of what makes her exceptional is her passion for sharing her knowledge. As a patient, you will come to understand more about how and why your body works the way it does (in easily understood terms) and more about what you can do to help yourself.
